Morning☆Kuri

I love the polls ♥  I remember doing the first MoMusu one (I’m currently digging around the interweb for said result…) but seeing the Berryz and C-ute one?  Well, it’s good to see if my opinions have changed since… December 31 xD  And, for the MoMusu one.. how they changed from JUNE to December to February.  We shall start with the Berryz.

Well, for the record, these graphics have awesome all over them.  Anyway.

1. Tokunaga Chinami. It’s really no surprise–to be honest, Chinami’s one of the few things left in Berryz to enjoy.  She’s a pleasure to watch; she’s constantly genki and adorable… And it doesn’t feel fake.  It feels very natural to her, I think.  Chinami-chan’s also got the most ADORABLE english speaking voice, everytime I hear it I want to squeal.  Besides that, she knows how to rock a oneliner like nobody else in Berryz (or, H!P really).  She sees her chances and rolls with it.  Besides that, she’s got the most ADORABLE face.  It’s not really PB-worthy, I don’t think, but her promo pictures are always so cute..~

2. Sudou Maasa. Maasa’s another likeable person.  Sure, her lives aren’t always the best there is–but she rolls with what she gets.  She’s a lovely girl, with nice features and Angelina Jolie lips (something I envy quite a bit).  She never really looks uncomfortable–she’s PB worthy, for sure.  I’m sad she hasn’t gotten one yet.  Anyway, her voice is one of those more mature ones for the Berryz, which they generally need (or we all thought they needed until Tsunku said “OH HAY, LET’S TURN BERRYZ BACK INTO KIDS LOL” and UFA was like “KAY.  WE LIKED FIGHTING POSE.”  Goddamn producers and shit)

3. Tsugunaga Momoko.  I often have a love-hate relationship with Momoko.  For instance, she is, quite frankly, hideous at times.  There are often moments where I go “WTF Momo, but did puberty do to you?”  At the same time, I relate with her without realizing it.  I hate to say it, especially since I hate the helium voice with a passion, but… I do the exact same thing.  There are days where Momoko = Kuri and vice versa.  I have Momo mannerisms, which scare me.  As a default, I often look in the mirror and go “Dear God, you are the American Tsugunaga Momoko.  And if she can attract men, so can you.  VERY BEAUTY POWER!!!!!” 

Also, I can do a very distinctive Gag 100 at times, god help us all.  Not the best, but hey–Momo’s vocals generally aren’t anyone’s favorites.

4. Kumai Yurina.  At times, I feel that you have to like Yurina.  She is the underdog within the “leads.”  Often pushed aside in favor of Risako and those other peoples, Yurina has a strong, distinctive voice that no one else has.  Besides that, she has enormous prescence–some of this is due to her height, but it’s also just because she, Yurina, has got prescence.  I don’t really ever feel her drifting into the background.

Also, she is another example of the “Dear God, why is everyone in Berryz ugly?” thing… 

5. Natsuyaki Miyabi.  I believe I’ve hated on Miyabi’s face enough for this month, so… We’ll focus on other things.  She has a nice voice, generally controlled, but you’ve gotta admit, it gets stale, listening to her to the same things she’s done since Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai.  I’m simply… not impressed with her within Berryz anymore.  Now, within Buono! that’s a different story, and the only reason Buono! hasn’t really had mention before in this blog is simply that I was trying to find a little SOMETHING bad to say and I still haven’t.  Anyway, Natsu-chu has her good points, and she has her bad points, and I’m often bored with her, but she’s okay.  I just… have no attachment to her.

6. Shimizu Saki.  As for Saki, I have no real ill will, I just… Look, if I showed a picture of her to my sister, she’d freak out.  It’d be like when my sister came with me to pick up my paycheck and freaked out because she thought my shift manager was scary (he has his ears gaged, so, really, he IS kinda scary, but still)…  Also, Saki’s got more of a “character” voice.  Like, she was well suited to the Berryz Kamen song, but I’m iffy about her and just being Saki of Berryz.  It feels better when she’s doing The Berryz Kamen Girl.

7. Sugaya Risako.  Bleeeech.  She’s pretty, I get it.  But God almighty, I still cannot stand her.

I love the C-uties ♥

1. Okai Chisato.  Chisato climbed the ranks of awesome and now I just love her.  She has this incredible voice and it’s simply NOT being used.  Also, her “WTF” face ranks up there with Kaorin’s, no lie.  There’s just nothing better than watching Tokaikko Junjou and seeing “WTF MAIMI THATS MY BALL!”  Facial expression aside, Chisato really does have a great voice–Mikitty-esque in a way.  There were parts where I couldn’t distinguish between her and Miki in Samui Kara Fuyu da mon.  This is something I’ve NEVER dealt with before, because Miki’s voice is so… MIKI.  There shouldn’t be anyone with a voice akin to that–and then Chisato comes along.  And even better, Okai-chan has the potential to SURPASS Fujimoto Miki, in regards to singing and experience.  She started younger and has more training.  I’m looking forward to seeing Chisato in the future H!P.

2. Umeda Erika.  How can you note love Erika?  PB looks, great vocals…  And modest.  She stepped down from being leader of C-ute; Yajima Maimi isn’t the oldest of the H!P Kids.  And she looks great in yellow ♥  Anyway, I’ve always really liked Erika.  I like her more now, though, because I’ve had a chance to learn more about her.  She did Tsuugaku Vector well~

3. Hagiwara Mai.  Maimai’s falling in my rankings!  Oh no!!  It’s okay, she’s popular elsewhere.  Mai’s adorable all around, but dear God, she’s gonna grow up and become another Aibon, you can see it already.  I worry about her.  As for now though?  She exemplifies cuteness in a human form.  And she has such a powerful, distressed voice~!

4. Yajima Maimi.  Somewhere, in a corner of the world, there is someone who read my blog months ago and is saying “…KURI YOU LIED TO ME.”  Well, the fact is…  I’ve decided to let Maimi grow on me, and (unlike other C-uties), she actually did.  She rose in rankings.  Maimi is incredibly adorable in her own Maimi way… And she can be incredibly sexy in the same way.  So… She’s like the Kuri I aspire to be, or something?  It’s all about the love of a 16 year old, or something.

It’s okay.  Nacchi doesn’t understand either.

5. Arihara Kanna.  Kanna does nothing for me, really…  She’s a cute face, and she’s got some great outfits that I’ve seen, but… Er…  It’s just “whatever.”

6. Suzuki Airi.  I’m tired of Airi getting all those damn lines, but she is a pretty good singer.  She was better as Chibi-Airi, sure, but she’s pretty good nonetheless.  I like her at this point.  She’s kinda cute in her way.  And I love her in Buono!  she’s pretty amazing there.  She got the number 6 simply because I think I’d like her to graduate or AT LEAST get in trouble, so she isn’t getting every single goddamn solo.

7. Nakajima Saki.  Of course, I’d be in favor of Airi solos over this one.  I really, really, REALLY cannot bring myself to like Saki.  She seems so… awkward and fake to me.  Often, I look at her faces in Athena & the froggy unit thing and in PVs, and I think she’s like… deranged and trying to kill me, or maybe just constipated.  I dunno.  Futhermore, I cannot stand her voice.  It’s really grating on the nerves.  I mean, Okada Yui’s voice isn’t too great either, but it’s a hell of a lot better than NakaSaki.

This past year I have grown to love MoMusu.  They’ve all grown on me to an extent.  Still, you’d be pretty damn surprised if you saw my June results.

1. Kamei Eri.  Kamei is just SO FUCKING ADORABLE.  And weird.  She’s like… the most awesome thing to come out of nowhere.  I honestly believe that one morning she woke up, said, “…Oh, well, Morning Musume is holding auditions… I think I’d like to go!” and went.  Anyway, Kamei’s just grown on me SO MUCH this year.  With Onna ni Sachi Are, and me going back and listening to other MoMusu songs and realizing the voice I thought was Aibon or Reina’s was actually ERI’s… Well, I was stunned.  And then Maple, and well…  Yeah….  It was a done deal.

2. Junjun.  You can’t NOT like Junjun.  LOOK AT THAT FACE.  You want to pinch it!  You can’t help it! ♥  She’s such a looker, and besides that, she’s got… moxie.  Yeah, Junjun has got MOXIE!

3. Tanaka Reina.  Reina, how the hell did you end up in THIRD?  I hated you, like, last month.  What in God’s name happened?  I guess I just finally came around to the REINA-ness.  Sure, I get upset that she cannot decide on an image, but… she’s young.  She can experiment.  Her voice is great, and she’s just so hilarious to watch.  (*wink* … *sing and wink* *wink again for good luck*)

4. Mitsui Aika.  I’ve called her The Spore before, haven’t I?  It’s because she is.  I remember hearing her in Egao YES Nude and going “HOLY FUCKING SHIT ON A STICK!  NEWB CAN SING!”  Aika provided a reason to get excited over MoMusu again.  I think she may have been the firecracker that started it off (…Junjun is a roman candle or something).  Anyway, she’s really cute ♥  I really am beginning to like Aika as a member of MoMusu.  I think she’d be a good member to simply be friends with.

5. Takahashi Ai.  I remember the whole Takitty Must Go debate.  I remember my blog having the Crystal Era theory, followed by Vee’s Takitty essay… And then IT BECAME NO-MAN’S LAND~!!!  O~OH SPOO~OKY.  No, really, though.  It was fun.  I like Ai-chan.  I like her abilities.  Sure, she’s got no real charisma.  But she’s likeable.  The Takurazuka thing is something that makes her stand out…  She’s okay.  No hate for the Leader.

6. Niigaki Risa.  No disrespect to the subleader either, to be honest.  I just like other better than her.  She’s really a beautiful girl with a stellar voice.  If she were used more to her capabilities, I’d have her ranked higher, most likely.  Sure, she’s Athena right now, but after that, then what?  This thought worries me… Regardless, Risa’s fun.  I’ve always liked her.

7. Linlin.  Linlin just… hasn’t made as huge impression as Mittsi or Junjun.  I’m sorry D:  Her voice is gorgeous, and it’d be better if she sang naturally.  She has a unique kind of voice.  I remember hearing her sing Thanks! and being blown away.  That Linlin hasn’t arrived to the MoMusu party yet, and I’m kinda tired of waiting….  That’s all, really.

8. Michishige Sayumi.  First, let me say that yes, Sayumi is gorgeous.  She is beyond beautiful, and her kind of physical perfection should be some kind of sin.

Now, let me point out that the compensation for being such a beauty is that she cannot sing.  She has her place in MoMusu.  It’s being Ichiban Kawaii (or, now that shes older, Ichiban Iroppoi), and being Sayummy and whatnot.  But she still cannot sing.  This is my biggest issue with her.  Other than that, I’m okay with her existance.  She has improved since she initially started, I will give her that.  But I’m not going to ever go crazy over her.

9. Kusumi Koharu.  Koharu, Koharu, Koharu.  You, child, are like what I fear some of my neighbors’ kids will one day be like: totally and completely mentally deranged and almost constantly on some form of speed.  When you began, I found it easy to like you.  And then, someone let you get a hold of items confiscated from the older girls, and what happened?

=D…  All day long.  Factor in the godawful vocals (which are helped by the godawful voice of Tsukishima Kirari–yeah, I know she’s not supposed to be a good singer, but Koharu isn’t always Kirari!!) and the bad hair and it’s a recipe for disaster.

And yet, she is still loved by the wota.  Such things keep me puzzled for hours on end.

Now, as for my June results??

Oh, they’ve changed QUITE a bit. Inbetween now and June, I discovered Junjun and Linlin, Kamei Eri became a goddess unlike any other, Tanaka went through a strange period where I needed to detox myself from her Prescence, and everyone else was just “whatever.” In fact, when I posted it on a forum, my quote was something like “No offense to Gaki, she’s just not my favorite xD”  However, it’s nice to know that my tastes evolved nicely…

And that now Koha-thingy is going to be shunned in my brain until she goes to Sugar/Crack Rehab.

3 AM.  I believe it’s time for some sleep, don’t you~?  Lalalalala…~
