The first of these TOP! Lists is the Melon Kinenbi BEST OF list. That’s BEST OF all songs they ever released, I must say. Because… Well, Melon Kinenbi kept me guessing this year. They got 3 releases–3 pretty good ones, I’d wager. Well, Melon Juice wasn’t my favorite thing from this year, but, goddamn, that cover rocks.
Anyway, Melon Kinenbi gets a Top 10 Best Songs. ♥ Let’s start~

Bakayaro! Honto no Jibun!
When I look at 2007, I can safely say that it was a year of many firsts for me: my first school musical. My first experience of going through that weird “transition” from junior-high ugly duckling into high-school swan. And, most importantly, my first taste of real Jpop.
Is it any wonder that Morning Musume made the biggest impact on me, on a whole? That my growing love of them would take off and become an obsession of its own, despite the fact that I known no CDs, DVDs, or photobooks?

The year itself is drawing to a close, and it has left us with scratching our heads in the H!P fandom. Goto Maki graduating? Ongaku Gatas actually kicks ass? Those damn C-uties are selling like hot cakes? My, my, this year HAS thrown us for a spin.

Ladies and wota, welcome to the second edition of Retro Review!, where Kuri reviews the MoMusu releases in order. This is to provide enjoyment for all… Also, because Kuri still has some time before AP testing, SATs, drama club an Japanese lessons take over her life!
Today’s subject is Morning Musume’s second single (and second release overall), Summer Night Town. This is also the first release with Kuri’s beloved Yaguchi Mari, as well as Ichii Sayaka and everybody’s favorite crazy Obaachan, Yasuda Kei~!
